How to Join the OIV:
The Government of the interested State must send the request of adhesion through its Embassy in Paris to the Director General of the OIV, with a copy of this request to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The director General of OIV informs the members concerning the application for membership. Members have six months from the reception of the application to inform the OIV on their opinion. After this time, if a majority of members has not opposed it, the application will be accepted.
Once the application is successful, the State concerned will have twelve months within which to deposit its instrument of accession with the depository.
