RESOLUTION COMEX 5/2002

APPROVAL OF THE 2003 FISCAL YEAR ACCOUNTS

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE OF VINE AND WINE,

IN VIEW of the amount of contributions to be received by 31 december 2001 for an amount of 883 203.25 French Francs

IN VIEW of the hypotheses for the 2003 fiscal year budget presented by the Director General,

CONSIDERING the arrears of unpaid contributions that have put the treasury and the financial balance of the OIV in difficulty;

APPROVES the initial budget for the 2003 fiscal year, corresponding to hypothesis number A+ for the total amount, in expenditures and income, of  1 749 526,00. euros;

SETS the amount of the “contribution unit” for the year 2003 at 12 070 euros,

DECIDES to withdraw 56 000,00 euros on available funds on 31 december 2001, as shown in the 2001 fiscal accounts, after verification carried out by the financial auditor,

REQUESTS that member states late in remitting contribution dues, clear their outstanding debts quickly. In this impossibility, these member states can propose payment procedures in case of temporary financial difficulties,

COMMISSIONS the Executive Committee to take all appropriate means to obtain full or partial settlments, while taking into account, as much as possible, the specific finanical difficulties of each member country concerned.
