RESOLUTION OIV-OENO 682-2021

REMOVAL FROM OIV TEXTS OF REFERENCES AND DATA RELATING TO GALACTANASE ACTIVITY

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY,

IN VIEW OF the Article 2, paragraph 2 b) ii of the Agreement of 3rd April 2001 establishing the International Organisation of Vine and Wine,

CONSIDERING the work of the “Specifications of Oenological Products” Expert group,

DECIDES, at the proposal of Commission II “Oenology”, to remove Monograph COEI-1-ACTGHE from the International Oenological Codex,

CONSIDERING this removal of file E-COEI-1-ACTGHE from the International Oenological Codex, the references to galactanase activity should also be deleted in the following files of the International Code of Oenological Practices: II.1.13, II.2.1.4, II.2.1.18, II.3.2.8 and II.3.2.11. The reference will be removed also from the table concerning the compounds admitted by the OIV for treatment of grape, must and wines and their status as additives and processing aids and the use levels or residual limits.
