OIV MEMBERSHUP EASIER RECOGNITION
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
CONSIDERING the evolution of practices concerning the adhesion of countries to international organisations,
CONSIDERING the proposal of the French Government, keeper of the Arrangement of the 29th November 1924,
DECIDES that the requests for adhesion to the O.I.V. will be directly addressed to this Office and copies to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The O.I.V. will inform its member states of requests presented and of eventual reservations that will be made; member states will have a period of six months to make their opinions known to the Office.
At the end of the six month period, adhesion will be acquired if a majority of states are not opposed to it.
The Executive Committee will have the authority to certify the adhesion of a new state.
The Director General will keep the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office's Member states informed.
