RESOLUTION AG 1/2000

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY,

• Expresses its gratitude to the Government of the Republic of France, host country of the XXVth World Congress of Vines and Wine and of the 80th General Assembly of the International Office of Vines and Wine, and in particular to the departments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for their enthusiastic participation in the organisation,
• Underlines the quality and the importance of the work, conducted at a high scientific and technical level within the four sections of this Congress, which allowed for the anticipation of wine characteristics in the third millennium.
• Appreciated with pleasure the quality and the diversity of the wines presented for tasting by the different professional and interprofessional partners of the French viticulture network and by the partners of the regional organisations, and equally appreciated the opportunity presented to the participants of discovering a wide range of wines from all over the world, on the actual Congress site,
• Congratulates the Organising Committee of the Congress, its President Mr André Grammont, and his whole team whose welcome and professionalism contributed to the complete success of this XXVth Congress, and emphasises the quality of the social program and the complementary activities in which many partner companies of the network were involved.
