The Republic of Moldova will host the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine and the 23rd General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). Organised by the Government of Moldova, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, and Moldova's National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV), the congress will address key future challenges facing the global vine and wine sector.
Under the theme "Charting the Future of Vine and Wine: Embracing Resilience, Elevating Value, Fostering Innovation," the congress counts on scientific community engagement, with 279 abstracts submitted by researchers from 32 countries. These presentations include:
- Viticulture: 88 abstracts
- Oenology: 100 abstracts
- Economy & Law: 63 abstracts
- Safety & Health: 28 abstracts
The four sessions for which papers were submitted are structured under the following sub-themes:
- Session I. Viticulture: Resilient viticultural practices for sustainable ecosystems
- Session II. Oenology: Adaptive and innovative technologies in sustainable oenology
- Session III. Economy & Law: Elevating value: favourable value chains and resilient business model
- Session IV. Safety & Health: Nutrition & health: sharing, caring and well-being

- Pre-registration period: until 15 April 2025
- Early-bird: Payment of participation packages with a 10% discount: 16 – 30 April 2025.
- Final deadline for participation package payment: 31 May 2025
