Modalities for approval of the new Internal Rules of the Organisation

MODALITIES FOR APPROVAL OF THE NEW INTERNAL RULES OF THE ORGANISATION

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION OF VINE AND WINE,

IN VIEW OF Article 10 of the Agreement of 3 April 2001 establishing the International Organisation of Vine and Wine which provides that the Internal Rules of Procedure of the International Wine and Vine Office shall stay in force until the adoption of the Internal Rules of Procedure by the General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine,

REFERRING TO the Internal Rules of Procedure of the International Wine and Vine Office which is made up of four parts, which have been amended and updated since 1928:

  • Part I: General Provisions, updated in 1996
  • Part II: Financial Regulations, updated in 1958
  • Part III: Status of personnel, updated in 1958
  • Part IV: Particular status of the Director General, updated in 2003

WHEREAS there is an interest in having an Internal Rules of Procedure for the International Organisation of Vine and Wine available as quickly as possible, which would facilitate the implementation of the Agreement of 3 April 2001,

WHEREAS the current status of the works of the Expanded Committee for the Internal Rules of Procedure of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine,

DECIDES that each part the Internal Rules shall be proposed for  adoption to the General Assembly of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine once they are finalised by the Expanded Committee for the Internal Rules of Procedure of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine and are approved by the Executive Committee,
