AMMONIUM HYDROGENOSULPHITE – MODIFICATION OF MONOGRAPH

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

CONSIDERING Article 2 paragraph 2 iv of the Agreement of April 3, 2001 establishing the International Organisation of Vine and Wine,

Taking notice of the works of the Sub-commission of Methods of Analysis and Appraisal of Wine and the Specification of Oenological Products expert group,

CONSIDERING resolution OENO 14/2000 related to the monograph of ammonium hydrogensulphite,

CONSIDERING that the limit mentioned of 0.2 % does not correspond to percentage reported in different products with sulphite contents close to 2%,

CONSIDERING the need to harmonise the different monographies of the International Oenological Codex, particularly for limits of sulphates and sulphites,

DECIDES, on the proposal of Commission II « Oenology » to modify resolution OENO 14/2000 and delete point 7.3 Sulphates. The other points are re-numbered.
