Environment in the viticultural sector
RESOLUTION OENO 2/97
ENVIRONMENT IN THE VITICULTURAL SECTOR
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY,
ON THE PROPOSAL of Commission II « Oenology », after study by the expert group « Wine technology »,
CONSIDERING that each sector of activity must participate in the preservation of the environment,
RECOMMENDS the development of techniques for wine-making and other products obtained from vines, wine and spirits, which contribute to limiting sources of pollution. Thus, the evaluation of the environmental impact must be integrated into oenological techniques and notably into experiment protocols,
ALSO RECOMMENDS that the Member States favour research and training in this field.
