OIV launches the Centenary Photo Contest – Pau Roca

29 Jun 2024

In the framework of the OIV centenary and the International Year of Vine and Wine, the OIV proudly announces the launch of the “2024 CENTENARY PHOTO CONTEST – PAU ROCA”, dedicated to honouring the legacy of Pau Roca, the former Director General who served from 2019 to 2023. Roca, who recently passed away, dedicated his tenure to addressing one of the foremost challenges confronting the vine and wine sector: Climate change.

In recognition of his invaluable contribution to the organisation and the vine and wine sector, as well as in remembrance of his remarkable leadership, the OIV, with the sponsorship of Vinos de la Luz, is proud to launch this photo contest under the theme "The vine and wine sector facing climate change”.

The contest offers an unique opportunity for photographers from all backgrounds to showcase their creativity and contribute to a global dialogue on the future of the sector in the face of climate change. By capturing the beauty, challenges, and innovations within the vine and wine sector, participants will play a vital role in shaping the narrative of sustainability and resilience for generations to come.

Join us in celebrating the OIV century and paying tribute to the legacy of Pau Roca through the art of photography. Together, let us raise awareness, inspire action, and pave the way towards a more sustainable future for the vine and wine sector.
