In the land of tea, the vine and wine culture is in progress. This was the message conveyed by Ambassador Ashraf during a morning of discussions with the Director General Barker and his scientific team on the economic and technical aspects of the global wine industry.
India is currently a major producer of table grapes, the second largest in the world, with 2.8 million tons to be produced by 2023. Ambassador Ashraf wanted to find out more about the OIV works and its areas of activity, which cover grape products. India has been a member of the OIV since 2011. Ambassador Ashraf's visit was an opportunity to reaffirm the ties of cooperation between his country and the OIV.
